In the traditional silversmithing village of Celuk, on the island of Bali, jewelry is exquisitely handcrafted, using unique and painstakingly detailed techniques, which are passed down through families for generations. Paradiso has worked closely for two decades with small families in this village. As each piece is entirely hand-fabricated, no two are exactly identical; each is an individual work of art. Each dragonfly pin is sterling silver, with a tail of delicately braided wire, and tiny silver balls texturing the insect's body and wings. Paradiso developed the dragonfly designs in co-operation with the silversmiths as they watched the insects circling around the lush gardens by the workbenches, and playing with paper, pen, twigs and leaves until a design emerged that captured some of the delightful spirit of this much-loved village resident. Great with the Dragonfly Earrings! Choose a Native Leaf Jewelry Bag to make your gift extra special.

Ganesha, the elephant deity, is a prime Hindu deity popular in the minds of the Balinese. With his elephantine countenance, curved trunk and big ears, Ganesha is the Lord of success, a destroyer of obstacles and of evil. Traditionally, he is worshipped by Hindus as a god of education, knowledge, wisdom, and wealth. His trunk represents om the sound symbol of cosmic reality. Many people believe that the symbol of an elephants trunk pointing upward is a sign of good luck. This elephant pin is handcrafted of sterling silver, decorated with an intricate pattern of tiny silver balls the granulation for which Balinese silversmiths are so revered.
Careful wirework outlines each elephants eyes and ears, smooth hammered silver balls line his trunk, and a locking sterling silver safety clasp assures that he will remain a much cherished part of your jewelry collection! Choose a Native Leaf Jewelry Bag to make your gift extra special.
